General Terms and Conditions
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the accommodation is required to secure a confirmed booking. This can be done either through bank transfer or Paypal. Balance of payment payable in cash upon arrival.
If any booking is cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to arrival, the deposit will be refunded.
If a booking is cancelled less than 4 weeks before arrival and the accommodation can be rebooked, the deposit will be refunded.
If a booking is cancelled less than 4 weeks before arrival and the accommodation cannot be rebooked, the deposit will be forfeited.
Please come and see us before pitching on the field. If we’re not in, or you arrive in the middle of the night, then please just get on with it! Pitch your tent on the highest ground – it’s a flood plain.
Fires. We love our land so please don’t burn it. BBQ’s and raised fires are fine.
Dogs. We only welcome well-behaved dogs. They must be under control and on a lead at all times – we have horses and sheep. There will be zero tolerance of badly behaved dogs.
Noise. We try to keep a peaceful site where people can expect a good nights sleep before a busy day in the hills. So please no sound-systems (unless agreed with us beforehand), and please keep all noise down after 11pm.
Child Safety. We love children to have fun and enjoy the place – but please be aware of the river. It’s very deep and with steep banks. The horses are friendly, but please don’t let children into their field. So please be sure to supervise your children at all times.
Fishing is allowed on the river. There is a charge and fishing rules – so please ask before fishing.
Payment. Cash and cheques only I’m afraid.
Check in is usually after 4 pm and check out is at 12 pm. These times can be made flexible by arrangement.
No smoking is allowed in the bunkhouses.
Any damages or breakage’s must be reported immediately and where not an acceptable accident must be paid for.
Liability. We accept no responsibility for death or injury to any persons, nor for any loss or damage to personal property or equipment, including vehicles. Nor do we accept responsibility for loss or expense incurred due to delays or changes in travel services or due to sickness or because of the weather or for any other reason.
Insurance. We recommend you take out adequate insurance cover against personal accident or injury, loss and breakage of personal property and equipment and any cancellations.
